Hey everyone,
It is almost time to kick the 2010 Midwest Mud Boggers season off again!! We are starting our season off with our benefit mud run again this year on APRIL 17th. the run will be in Hiawatha,KS. Registration is from 8-Noon and the mud flies at 1..
We had our awards banquet on Febuary 20th, and at that banquet we all decided to have our benefit mud run for Phoenix Entrikin. Phoenix will be 2 years old in April, and is a double carrier of Cystic fibrosis, and has to fight daily to be able to breath. We are also going to have a truck wash and some other small things to help raise money for another local couple who just lost everything in a house fire.
i have a little something that Phoenix's Mother wrote up for me to show her apprication to you all for hsupporting them and Phoenix and also giving you an idea of what they have gone through the past year.

It’s been a year of ups and downs, but through it all Phoenix has kept smiling.

This past year:

It’s taken 3285 enzymes for Phoenix to eat.

Its taken 911 g-tube feeds for Phoenix to maintain his weight.

It’s taken 5840 doses of medication to keep his body functioning.

It’s taken 4380 breathing treatments to help open his lungs.

It’s taken 600 hours of vest and hand CPT Therapy to keep his lungs clear.

Even with all of this the one thing we have not been able to do is stop lung damage. Each day Phoenix fights a good fight, and each day is one more day that he’s won his battle against Cystic Fibrosis. As his parents we fill helpless. We’ve questioned doctors and done hundreds of hours of research. Our next step, take Phoenix to one of the top ranked CF facilities in the United States, the University of Minnesota. We always said we would fight the fight with Phoenix and win. Last year at the mud run we realized something; no matter what laid ahead for our family we would never fight this battle alone. People we had never met were there to fight this battle with Phoenix. With an army like how could we not win?

So this year our goal is to make it to Minnesota, only problem is they are not covered under our insurance. We cannot say how much we appreciate you fighting for Phoenix again this year. With the proceeds from the event Phoenix will be going to Minnesota, he will be seeing some of the top rated CF doctors in the US. Thank you for continuing to give us hope. Thank you for continuing the fight with Phoenix. Thank you for reminding us that no matter what the future has in store for our family, we will never be alone in our journey.

All of our classes are the same this year no changes... we will still be running two pits at our races one shallower for open, stock, mod stock, and mod stock women. the deeper pit will be for the rest of the classes... at the hiawatha, KS races we will also still be running a third pit for atv's.... the atv classes have changed alittle bit from last year and will be updated on the web site soon... but they are as follows....

ATV CLASSES AND RULES
OPEN - Any atv, dirt bike, or utv allowed. paddles and power adders allowed. may run any type of fuel

2wd - Any atv, dirt bike, or utv allowed as long as it is run using only 2 wheel drive. No power adders. no paddle tires. gasoline fuel only

4wd - Any atv, dirt bike, or utv allowed, may use 4wd or all wheel drive, no power adders. no paddle tires. gasoline type fuel only.

14&Under - Any atv, dirt bike, or utv allowed, may use 4wd or all wheel drive, no power adders, no paddle tires, and gasoline type fuel only. If running this class you MUST provide proof of age.

All atv classes will be run between some of the truck classes at different times through the mud run. All atv's will be required to show up to be inspected and registered at the same times as the trucks for the given run. All drivers will be required to attend the drivers meetings, and will be responsible for their atv's at the races. there will be no horse play or reckless driving of the atv's at the races prior to during or following the races, if this becomes a persistant problem the atv's will no longer be ran... Any driver found driving their atv reckless or in an unsafe manner endangering other racers or spectators will be asked to leave with no refund of any kind, any who refuse or are beligerrent/combative will be escorted off the premises by sheriff's deputies and will be permanantly banned from future events hosted by Midwest Mud Boggers. Let's go out and have some fun!
